EDIM candidate gets more involved with ISPIM, the largest Innovation Management society in Europe
Andres Ramirez-Portilla candidate at KTH and POLIMI has been awarded for the second consecutive time a "Jubilee grant" for young researchers from the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation to attend the 26th ISPIM Innovation Conference in Budapest, Hungary.
ISPIM - International Society for Professional Innovation Management is a network of researchers, industrialists, consultants and public bodies who share an interest in innovation management. It was founded in 1983 by Professor Knut Holt in Norway, and it´s the oldest, largest and most active innovation association in Europe. Andres become a member of ISPIM since 2013 because it has, a amongst other special interest groups, a large community of recognized researchers investigating Open & Collaborative Innovation (Andres´ general thesis topic). Recently, Andres has been accepted as part of the ISPIM Scientific Panel, which members are experienced academics within the field of innovation management who provide input and contribute significantly to the scientific quality and output of ISPIM. Thanks to the travel grant obtained, he will be able to attend ISPIM conference and search for future research opportunities hopefully involving the universities and other candidates in EDIM.
The Knut and Alice Wallenberg foundation is the largest financier of research in Sweden. During the past five years, the Foundation has granted the total of SEK 5 billion for various projects, mainly at Swedish Universities. In KTH, this foundation supports, amongst many other projects, the "Jubilee" grant, which is a travel grant that covers registration fee and the cost of travel to attend conferences outside Sweden. Demand for these scholarships is very large and the travel grants are given up to a maximum of SEK 15,000 (approximately 1,700 EUR).
