Maxim Miterev (EDIM Batch II) has received the 2016 IPMA Young Researcher Award for his research“Exploring program management competences for various program types”. The research results have been published in the International Journal of Project Management.This award is the most prestigious for a young researcher in the field of project management.

Ermal Hetemi our new EDIM candidate (EDITION V)at UPM and KTH, has been awarded the prestigious Donald S. Barrie Award by Project Management Institute (PMI). This is thanks to his paper titled “Attitudes toward Integrated Project Delivery” which best advances knowledge in the field of Design, Procurement and or Construction by providing useful contribution to the Engineering Industry.
The Donald S. Barrie Award is presented annually at the PMI® Global Congress–North America by the Project Management Institute Educational Foundation in conjunction with the former PMI Design-Procurement-Construction Specific Interest Group (DPC SIG). This year, 11-13 October, 2015 PMI® Global Congress–North America was held in Orlando, FL. The selection of the recipient for the award is done by a panel of knowledgeable industrial and academic professionals recommended by the leadership of the former DPC SIG and approved by the PMI Educational Foundation.
The winner of the Donald S. Barrie Award receives $2000 (US) and prominent publicity at the awards ceremony of the North America Congress as well as publicity in PMI Today and the DPC newsletter.
Ermal become a member of Project Management Institute since 2013, when he was an international student within Eastern Michigan University , Michigan USA – Construction Management Program. He became a member because PMI develops, implements and delivers innovative programs including scholarships, awards and grants as well as educational resources that strengthen both teaching and learning regarding Project Management in general.
Andres Ramirez-Portilla candidate at KTH and POLIMI has been awarded for the second consecutive time a "Jubilee grant" for young researchers from the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation to attend the 26th ISPIM Innovation Conference in Budapest, Hungary.
ISPIM - International Society for Professional Innovation Management is a network of researchers, industrialists, consultants and public bodies who share an interest in innovation management. It was founded in 1983 by Professor Knut Holt in Norway, and it´s the oldest, largest and most active innovation association in Europe. Andres become a member of ISPIM since 2013 because it has, a amongst other special interest groups, a large community of recognized researchers investigating Open & Collaborative Innovation (Andres´ general thesis topic). Recently, Andres has been accepted as part of the ISPIM Scientific Panel, which members are experienced academics within the field of innovation management who provide input and contribute significantly to the scientific quality and output of ISPIM. Thanks to the travel grant obtained, he will be able to attend ISPIM conference and search for future research opportunities hopefully involving the universities and other candidates in EDIM.
The Knut and Alice Wallenberg foundation is the largest financier of research in Sweden. During the past five years, the Foundation has granted the total of SEK 5 billion for various projects, mainly at Swedish Universities. In KTH, this foundation supports, amongst many other projects, the "Jubilee" grant, which is a travel grant that covers registration fee and the cost of travel to attend conferences outside Sweden. Demand for these scholarships is very large and the travel grants are given up to a maximum of SEK 15,000 (approximately 1,700 EUR).
